What To Expect

Park and National Palace of Pena
Being one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the main attraction of historical Sintra, the Pena National Palace is much more than a simple castle, it is one of the most charming places in Portugal, full of curiosities, incredible landscapes and fantasy. The Palace was built in the 19th century on a craggy rock, which is the second highest point of the Serra de Sintra (above the palace there is only the Cruz Alta, at 528m altitude). Enjoy the magnificent view and photo opportunities in the Palace of Pena, in Pena Park and in the cottage and gardens of the Countess d 'Edla

Quinta da Regaleira
The palace is located on the hillside and a short distance from the historic center of Sintra, being classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. Quinta da Regaleira was built between 1904 and 1910, in the last period of the monarchy. With 4 hectares, the palace is surrounded by lush gardens, lakes, caves and enigmatic buildings, which conceal alchemical meanings, such as those evoked by Freemasonry, Templars and Rosicrucian. It models the space in mixed strokes that evoke the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Manueline architecture.

Cabo da Roca
Perfect place to enjoy the sunset and take great photos for remembrance, Cabo da Roca is situated at latitude 38º 47´ North and longitude 9º 30´ West, the westernmost point of Continental Europe, as Luís Vaz de Camões wrote, the place "Where the Earth ends and the sea begins". About 150 meters from the sea, here you can have a comprehensive view of the Serra de Sintra and the coast, which is worth the visit. Cabo da Roca Lighthouse was built in 1758. It is inserted in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Its flora is diverse and, in many cases, has unique species, being the object of several studies.

Boca do Inferno
Boca do Inferno is a cliff near Cascais, named after Boca do Inferno due to the incessant crashing of the Atlantic Ocean on the cliffs carving a small cave, which later collapsed into a small bay and a natural arch. With unique features, it is a place of recreation, where you can enjoy a divine landscape and magnificent sunsets, being only overshadowed by the often suicides committed in its dangerous and unprotected cliff.
