Sintra National Palace

Visit to Sintra National Palace. Also known as Paço Real, the Palace was founded by the Arabs and later became the residence of the Portuguese royal family from the 12th century. It is unique in that it features its 33-meter-tall twin chimneys and contains collections of Hispanic-Moorish tile and decorative arts. It was in Paço Real, in the courtyard of the Audience, that Dom Sebastião heard the first reading of the epic poem Os Lusíadas by Luís Vaz de Camões himself.

Palace and Quinta da Regaleira, historical and cultural monument that will dazzle you for its mysterious and passionate architecture.
