Overview

On the bridge that welcomes you to the tower, you will begin this special journey. You will discover a very special gift that the governor of Portuguese India gave to the Portuguese King Manuel I, and that gave birth to the legend of Ganda. Its narrator is none other than the patron saint of Lisbon and the man who prompted the construction of this building, Saint Vicent. As you discover the interior of the tower on the first floor, your narrator will teach you about the military role the tower has played in local history. You will explore the different floors as the narrator tells you the history of the monument and his own tragic story as a martyr in Roman times.
